Therefore it should be exciting!

God has been a great Teacher. It's all about learning how to count it all joy in every situation. Because of lack I experienced Him as my Provider. Because of disorder and strife i experienced Him as truly my Peace. Because of struggles i experienced Him as my Banner.

I have not arrived (if not i'd be dead) but i think i can say for now Philippians 4:11-13 .

There's so much more to experience, greater things have yet to come. Let's go!

I would be lying if i told you i've been "delivered" since we first smiled at each other (acting like nothing happened).

Im not as impressively strong as a real man of faith should be. It took me awhile but then i've refused to be a victim of guilt sometime back already. I decided to learn something from it. I learn that shit really does happen. Sometimes people disappoint you, sometimes you are their disappointment. Good intentions are not enough in this broken down, imperfect world. There's always somthing to learn or room for improvement as long as we're here. I've gained a bigger heart especially towards people who're seriously disappointed about their lives and im glad to have made a difference in their lives as much as it did mine.
Afterall we dont need a bigger heart for people we love.
To have a bigger heart is more than sth we could command out of sheer choice. It requires us to go through some stuff first. Dont despise your adversities. There's power in disappointed hope (as long as you're still alive).
Yep, as long as you're still here, there's hope for others.
As long as you're still alive, God can use you!

O yes one more thing i've learnt: Disappointed individuals are generally one of the easiest to please.

We live in 2 worlds coincidently.

Sometimes we need to stop and reflect what life is all about. Get a grip then go again.

But most of the time we ought to just stop asking questions and start living.

Been reminding myself I've got what it takes to do whatever I need to do.

O recently I've been giving some thoughts about some of the people around me.
I've come to realise that making an unpopular decision (be it right or wrong) shows a side of maturity.
It just gives me that feeeeeling.
Been witnessing a few destiny altering moments from the lives of friends where they had to confront & choose yes/no/wait.
Some may be still unsure and have not made a decision. But the fact that there's resistence shows progress :)
Something NEW about us is revealed when we say 'no' to what we would say 'yes' to in the natural. Fruits of maturity come forth. Proud of them :)

Hi.

We came into 2010 with an attitude of great expectations for breakthroughs. We then make goals to express that.

A breakthrough is a result of constant preparation. Planning & goal setting is just the first few steps to kick start and are very important. But I often stop there because the next thing to do could be too vague for me to bother or overwhelming for me to continue.

Bad planning?

Yes but not entirely. It's an inadequate approach. God gave me a new one. And it is an attitude called 'committed' which is not something as difficult as when you break it down means, 'constant preparation'.

Are you praying for a breakthrough? Are you preparing yourself for it?
Don't just plan on day 1-4 and stop but keep getting at it, dont stop working on it, planning, thinking about it, confessing it, adjusting, writing, researching, changing, trying, stepping out, keep trusting God, keep going again, etc.

Breakthrough=preparation, preparation, preparation

Until it comes to pass.. your time spend on your breakthough should be 99% or more on preparing! Jiayou!

I've never felt better!

This year has been so rewarding!

I know 2010 is gonna be the bestest year yet!!

Life has been fruitful still since my ORD.

Few days before my ORD, i reviewed the feedback forms from the pioneers

I reckoned some are genuine and some are just complaints.

I think it's important we keep striving to improve ourselves while at the same time embracing our God given personalities.
Because we might find ourselves building our lives according to what everybody else is saying about us, and limit our potential to be all we're capable of being, if we're not careful.

How important it is to know your God and who you are in Christ!

Go find out (because you can, because God has a purpose for you, yes YOU!)

Set them wisely or what you called boundaries will turn into traps.

Been thinking about boundaries(in terms of relationships) the pass coupla days..

Yes we're called to LOVE eevryone.
But that doesnt mean we're called to do unto everybody else the SAME thing as much as we try our best to be impartial.

Truth is, different people have different needs and personalities.
It's impossible to treat everybody the same and expect same results.
(Even if you want to deal with them all the same way, they might not even let you.)

I believe we're called to treat different people differently, and still maintain our nice selves doing good.

I want to believe as much as I want that I can be anybody's friend and be well-received among everyone that knows me.
But I also needa know that there are people whom God intends me to minister to and those to fellowship with.
And to know that requires us to be sensitive to Him.

One of the ways Moses sets his own boundaries by is going only wherever the presence(peace & joy) of the Lord is.
If you dont feel right doing sth for someone.. it might possibly be the wrong thing to do even if it seems like a good thing.

I'm not asking you to be suspicious when it comes to doing good.. but I believe we all have good and bad experiences with people and I think the purpose for experiences is so that we become wiser and wiser in dealing with people. To do a better 'good' to them God's way, not ours.

Had a simple ORD parade this evening.

I'm so happy for most of them who're ORD-ing in within the next 6 days.

They dont have to book in no more from today onwards!

How happy & excited I am for them.

Am also thrilled about what's in stored 'out there' for me when my time comes
(in 5 more weeks!) :D

Gonna have a power-packed & fun-filled week ahead with the company.

Thank God for ARMY, for the people he surrounded me with, for the series of events that took place during my 2 years of service.

I've experienced people, food, life and most importantly God in a way nothing else could ever make up for.

Those memories are almost surreal now as i look back.

Even with that, I'm not a person who could just say good bye and mean what I say.

My mind is very easily attached to things it sets its affections on

Today's session with A R Bernard was so so SO AWESOME!
Not gonna type out all that he shared today.

Pastor Tan had an interview session with him after his teaching.
The last question for Dr. Bernard was something like the following,

Pastor Tan: "What are some of the things you could share with us regarding the amazing growth success of Christian Cultural Center?"

A R Bernard (went to the white board and wrote): 'PERSISTENCE'

I think 'persistence' is synonymous to 'faithfulness'
I use the latter more in my expressions.
Faithfulness speaks of commitment & a looooonng time while persistence speaks of the mind & physical tenacity.
It's often me, thinking that I can press on until my flesh gave way

Therefore a new word is created to remind me of the 2 mindsets that're required of success: "FAITHSISTENCE" !

Faithsistence will take you where your talent & education can't.
NOTHING can stop a man who is faithful.
Faithfulness is the only investment we can make that guarantees results.
At the end of the day.. our faithfulness is the only thing we've got (that we can offer to God for Him to work).
The key to success is to never neVER NEVER give up!
Don't give up on the project, the vision, him, her, them, yourself, God, etc.

I like the mundane.

There's hidden treasure in the mundane.

Was on weekend duties the past coupla weeks.

People dont like duty because they first complain there's nothing to do, and then they blame the duty for wasting their time.

But I like the mundane weekend duties :)

When there's only a few people in camp, I have more freedom to roam around.
To go to places where there's just me & myself. The place is so much quieter than usual and this inevitably sets you in the thinking mode sometimes.

Come to think about it, I smile more when im on weekend duties than normal days :)
(Actually I go crazy and laugh big time during normal weekdays haha)

Because there's really nothing much to do for duty, I can do ALOT of things!

The mundane is a place where I value time the most and make the most out of it.
It's a place where I get my priorities sorted out because time is so precious now.
It's a place where I get myself back on track and organised.

I feel fruitful when I'm in the mundane.

I like the mundane..
But still I prefer my weekends to be spent with fmaily and friends and things I like to do IN THE CIVI WORLD la HAHA

I remember during Asia Conference, Pst Phil Pringle said:
"Revelatoin is what to do.
Revelation is who to do it with."

So i've somehow concluded from the above that revelation is (more to divinity) the relevant and practical solution to your current situation. what do you think?

There's never a time like now when people need revelation the most because the world we're living in today is cluttered with great information everywhere.
I'm sure there're people like me overwhelmed by info coming from all over.

But great info is inequivalent to right, practical info (which is what counts).

The vast amount of good information accompanied by the incredible convenience to obtain them could either speed us up for success or serve as a distraction if we arent careful.

People who "made it" are those who hit the right questions (the right 'WHYs') again and again from where they started off.

It's about, 'Why-do-you-do-the-things-you-do?'
Our motives matter big time!

Revelation happens when we begin asking the right 'WHYs' that summons it.

More people all over the world now are becoming millionaires and billionaires in incredible acceleration as a result of the internet.

It was 1950hr.
I arrived at the bustop few hundread meters away from my camp sweating like a crazily drenched green monster.
I wanted to be home ASAP to run some errands and was waiting freaking long for the bus.

So i checked the time and it told me 25 precious minutes were wasted on waiting!
I got pissed.
(I shouldnt..)
Then i kinda got a revelation.

When we dont get things our way we will tend to be anxious and begin complaining.
And complaining is a complete waste of time!

Not only will it not help the situation, it exaggerates and prolongs the effect to a certain extend.

It's interesting how i checked the time so that i could begin complaining in my heart and make myself feel worse.

I've concluded that the next time i get anxious, instead of getting pissed off, ill check the time to see how much time i HAVE LEFT to run my errands and use the time to plan things ahead.

Or if there isnt a good reason to check the time, then ill make a conscious effort not to.

If i really really desperately wanna get thigns done badly then the last thing i should do is to complain (about how i cant do it).

The bus fianlly came at 2020! woohoo..

It's getting really humid thses days man.
And it's disturbing my sleep nowadays.
Not very cool stuff
Been bathing more also (bo bian too hot).
But today's weather was good haha

I think one of the greatest disappointments in life is death (irreversible situations).

I believe He came so that we can live a disappointment free life.

If we're able to believe that He can raise people from the dead.
And that He Himself was risen from the dead.

Then shouldn't it be easier for us to believe that our situations (or anything else) can be turned around when things haven't even reached their death?

His story makes it possible that we never stop believing.

Makes it possible that we never never never never never give up.

Makes it possible that we enjoy our every single day.

So that we can be passionate and alive once again and be fruitful.

I cant find a word to describe 'my life' actually.
It doesnt make sense!
When i try to make sense out of it, i get disappointed.
The more i do it, the worse it gets
It's made up of randomnesses and unpredictabilities.
Very true, very simple but hard to swallow sia
(it's amazing how commonsensical truth is to many, yet not very appetizing)
Truth is.. we live by faith and not by sight
we have to get comfortable not knowing

Eye of The Tiger - Survivor

We had 'OC Evening' just, back in camp :)
I think we pulled it off because the performances were so funny & entertaining.
Guitar Hero at the last was good stuff man. I like the stuff i heard. The above was one of them and I'm sure you've heard of it but it's exceptionally nice when played in Guitar Hero i dont know why!

I got GOLD for ma ippt held on the 6th(mon)!
Wasnt very confident at first and when people asked, i was telling them i wasnt aiming for gold but knew the moment the whistle blow ill pia all the way and throw up at the finishing line. So i pia-ed and ma timing was 9min 42sec :D, nearly vomitted but thank God i was alright! Got abit emotional for a minute after i crossed the line knowing my timing as they echoed out loud.
it's like "OMG I GOT IT?!!"
I encourage everybody to aim for ippt 'Gold' man.. especially those with the constant 'Silver' ;)

Pardon me for focusing on it to be poetic more than it to be comprehensive. Trying a lil bit of sebastian's style and a lil of Phil Pringle's. Trying to flaunt something i dont really have haha. Am working on it. Need to read & write more.

Anyway i was trying to illustrate one's journey leading to the awakening of this 'mighty man' in him.
I call it the 'monster'
Anthony Robbins calls this guy the 'Giant' as he titled his bestseller 'Awakening The Giant Within'. And i wanna further talk about this 'mighty man' mentioned in the bible [Joel 3:9-10]

Would like to first share with you an adaptation from my notes during Men's Meeting with Phil Pringle:
-The reason why you have problems is because God is trying to wake yup the mighty man in you
- we've got to wake up and do something about our dreams(this is the season for fulfilment right now!)
- Stop dreaming the dreams. WAKE UP!
- The reason for David's lion & bear confrontations is to bring out the 'Giant Slayer in him when he eventually comes face to face with Goliath
- Men should be able to accept responsibility and be a problem solver and to take up the role of a leader
- When you've got a problem. Pray. God's trying to get your attention.
- David had a team of mighty men around him. This men whom associated themselves with David become giant slayers themselves.
- Faith is not just believing, it's COURAGE
- Bible says resist the devil and he'll flee from you. Therefore a fight/battle must be put up in order for victory.

As i was meditating on 'mighty men' a summarising word kept poping out.

The word is 'STRONG'.

'STRONG' in not just the physical aspect but also the spiritual aspect of a man.

In Phil Pringle's book 'Leadership Excellence', Strong is a character trait of a leader. Which means strength/being strong is a matter of choice.
God commanded Joshua to only be strong and of good courage [Joshua 1:18]. 'Be strong' is a command, therefore we can obey it. We can choose to be strong.

"The strong can do what the weak cannot. The strong succesfully resist what the weak dont. Strength doesnt give up. Strength continues when others wilt. Strength carries the heavy loads. Strength breaks through, creating momentum. Strength clears the way. Strength supports the weak. Strength resist relentless thoughts, lifts up heavy emotions and carries the burden of care without caving in. The weak leader crumbles under anxiety, drops the ball when it gets too heavy and falls before powerful opposing forces. Strength calls people to work, offering no reward. Strength calls for sacrifice from those following. Strong leadership holds to a course without deviating under pressure to a weaker option. Strength moves forward despite criticsm and opposition. Okok.. er.. hmm...

ok.. there's this new batch of trainees that came in and i've been looking among them to see if there's someone i know. Nope.. until coupla days back someone came up to say 'hi'. Someone i knew during my NYP dragonboat days. Cool ;)

mom bought a new Samsung LCD monitor from the IT Fair to connect with my old CPU.
It's time they learn about the computer and the internet man. Cant wait for them to start seeing hte things i see haha

Been reading business books again.. reminds me of Sebastian. How he discovered the world of business and got so excitied about it that i got drawn into it too. Had a few lil ventures with him and thinking back, i wouldnt have learnt all the good stuff if not for his bold initiatives. Together with us i bet Weilong benefited alot from the trinity as much as i do ;)

i think i've been learning alot really.. enough for me to start applying what i know..
fantasies can be so addictive that you spend alot more of your time thinking, talking, praying about them than taking real action. Truth hurts sometimes. (hmm.. haha Paul Scanlon :))

It's like what Joyce Meyer mentioned about the people who prefer the Perks without the Works. I'm one of them man haah.

Speaking of whom.. i quote her alot because i like her man. I think she's giving to people what they really need that's why. I believe she's a woman of God and I realised how i need her teachings.

This is old but it sure still makes me laugh big time!

I felt like going out today with my IPod only so i went down to Borders to get something for Mr Weeelong. Celebrated his 21st birthday(11th March) today at Aloha Loyang. Turned out he's read 'Buzzmarketing'(by Mark Huges) before! I had been wanting him to read the book so badly that a long long time ago, i went to borrow it from the library so that i could pass to him to read. And today i bought him the same one lol.

Fortunately with 'Buzzmarketing' i bought 'Secrets to Dominate Your Niche' (by Sant Qiu & Thomas Fernandez) which was for maself but i decided that weilong have it.

Then I went home carrying both books with me because i told weilong that i knew he still has alot of other books not finished, and so asked if he could lend these to me!

Wanted to share about the movie 'The Changeling' but i forgot.
watched it like 2 weeks ago man.

Well just wanted to write that i dig the movie. A true story.
A story about a woman who stood for the truth.. nothing else but the truth.
About a hope that is faithful, unwavered, never moved.
It's just so encouraging man!
I like the last part when years had passed and her son still missing.
Everything seemed the same, until something else showed up strengthening her hope simply because it was something new and different.

Reminds me of the times when the feeling's gone and i had to go through all the trouble just to realise, that all that i can do for myself was to stir me up.. by hoping, seeking and crying out..

We complain or emo in our hearts over the things we dont have. But the interesting thing is that we still smile and be filled with joy just thinking thoughts about them once in a while.
This is amazing.. what hope can do for us man. I feel that it's like God's way of assurring so that you keep on hoping and wont give up (NOT so that you keep on emo-ing! lol).. what ya think leh?

This year is gonna be the year i ORD.. i pray for clarity, so i would know where's my next stop latest by then (141209)

Too long have i not been blogging.. being a little complacent now man..
Therfore this entry is almost a disciplinary post.

This year's chinese new year is weird and different man.. only went visiting on chu 1 and that was it! But it was rather "fruitful" though haha

How long must you keep saying this jL we all know you're ORD-ing THIS year!!
Yes and if i havent told you.. it's on 14DEC2009!!
I cant wait to get out there and do things man.. i want to see what im really capable of.
But I realised that indeed the ARMY is like a simulation to the real world. So i've been thinking that if im not doing well in army.. what makes me think ill do well out there. hmm.. Ooo my goodness how i need army ar!! how i need what is good for me lol

Anyway God works in mysterious ways man.. and this is exactly what amkes life interesting and what makes life life itself. Thinking back, i believe we sometimes complain in our hearts that we never really get exactly what we wanted.. but
I believe God has already given me what i needed all these while.
How awesome it will be, if we can see what He has instored for us and began wanting the things we NEED instead of what we want.

What if everything that you have now is not just what you need, but ALL that you need because really it's all that you've got.

Let's be excited about our dreams & visions AND also the things that we already have.

i enjoyed the night before out with N20 man.
it was a night of joy, angst, love, courage, fear, randomness, highness, blah blah all in a series of events and in the name of 'Happy New Year'.
Most importantly it was a night of hope. What's gonna happen in 2009 i do not know, anything can happen. But one thing im very certain about is that it's gonna be a good year, one with breakthroughs after breakthroughs.

busyness vs business

Was just talking to Qimin on msn and boy i wonder how long has it been since we last chatted..

it came onto us how time flies man.. time really really flew damn mother fast! =X
i was feeling mildly misplaced for moment as i thought back. Everything just happened so quickly and there're so many things that i've missed out.
The little nuances in life that really brings great joy and substance to your soul.

Really needa slow down a little.. to bathe myself in the good old memories (to remember), to appreciate what i already have in the present, and also dwell in my visions and dreams.
All these require the spending/setting apart of a little time.

Another few thoughts for the day..
i htink we can be too busy with our daily schedule that life becomes so regimental or simply just full of THINGs. we say, "busy is good, busy is good." But i think we ought to be told and know that doing 'business' is not the same as doing 'busyness',
and that momentum and fruitfulness are somehow synonymous.
We began to truly move on well in life when we're filled by engaging in thigns that fill us and not getting drained by engaging in thigns that drain us (we know ourselves).

God created all things (which includes us) for specific purposes respectively. Plants and animals have been moving on hte face of the earth doing what they do intrinsically.
and i believe we ought to live like that too instead of trying so hard to become somebody/some plant/some animal/some other thing. Life could be so much simpler if we could just accept the way we're created and flow with it.
What a waste of precious time/life to try to be something you'll never ever gonna become.

We can only truly enjoy things when we've come to a point where we can still enjoy life without them.

We as only human, like the universe to agree with us. We want things to be in control. We are 'YES' oriented and feel bad about 'NO' to the extend of shunning the slightest thought of it at times. We desire and hope for success and fear failure. We get lifted up by acceptance and fall upon rejection.

It's like we've somehow conditioned our minds in such a way that if it's a 'YES' we're gonna feel good and if it's a 'NO' then we're gonna feel bad.
Anything in between.. we emo haha

We've no problem setting our minds on 'YES', it's the 'NO' that poses the challenge, and sometimes we needa attend to it and deal with it. To make up our minds before hand that no matter what happens i'm gonna move on in faith and continue to enjoy the life Jesus died to give me.

i've recently come to a point where everytime i come across the one thing i claim i cant live without or the one thing i desire.. ill ask myself if i could be happy/move on/enjoy life without it.
it's difficult leh sometimes but you can get over it with God and you will be set free!

think this is the reason also why we fast..
(havent been fasting for months le.. let's go on a bread fast togehter leh!) ;)

Oh yes! On a much lighter note.. do go for the your hearts desire with passion and purpose and do enjoy and make the most out of whatever that you already have!!

Zoo-ing was fantabulous yet queer because it wasnt the same as last time. i dont like the revampment leh hmm but anyhow im glad i went still. it's nice la but in a different way ba haha.

it must have been a long painful wait for him because he claimed it has been an absolute waste of life ahhaaha

Home food is still the best la.. i decided to come out for night's-out today after all the 'slacking in camp while other people went for theirs' ehich explains why im blogging today. Mom and Dad were surprised to see me back so quickly. She cooked one of the most amazing meals man. i havent been enjoying food like i used to for the pasyt few weeks.. and tonight was like the day i finally got my 'powers' back ya know. im just elated hehehe =)

It occured to me that i've been so passionate about certain things that i could/should have been much more passionate about the things of the Lord. Right decisions matter man.

What if you so dont wanna make a fool of yourself that you began to try to convince yourself actually this is nothing, that's nothing, there;s nothing and turn out there's really nothing.

Or would you rather believe something's there and going on, and you behave like it's positive. yet in your backpocket a contingency plan stating that 'you'll not get disappointed' when it turns out to be nothing actually.

ok i shoudl stop lol.. some random thoughts before i go back to camp haha
it's fun doing this.. imma try it out again next time.

I took an urgent 1/2 day off today to run some errands. that's why im able to come and put up a new post here =)

want to update a little about what happened throughout the week, especially our dragon boat event on the 5th. Went for service with our new Swedish/designer/inventor friend, Eric(through Esther)right before dragon boat. whoah he inspired me quite a bit man. i would say we have alot in common and the only difference between us is that he's on the 'doing and experiencing' part already while im still on hte 'thinking and confessing' part haha.

Yet sometimes they say if God can do it for you this time, He can do it for you again, again and again.

Ooo.. after typing the above alone i realised that He can doesnt mean He would (which means nobody would ever know if he might or not).

But well.. most of the time we're encouraged to be relentless but sometimes i felt we've got to understand also that we're in the test of time especially when we want certain things badly.

Maybe we're called to approach things both ways man.. what ya'll think?

Alot of things have changed man.. but still sometiems i find myself standing at a certain junction that seems familiar.
Have you ever had this feeling.. something you experience a long time ago comes back all of a sudden, but now you have a different perspective to it and yet it affects you mildly..
you never really knew if you've pressed pass it until it showed up again..

There's no right or wrong with certain things but i thought that if it drains me then maybe i should shy from it. problem is i dont know if it's draining or filling.. there's always this voice telling me what should be the right way to go. but i learnt that there're really no right or wrong but what you want.
it's not what we do but WHY we do it yea?

Time flies and now it's thur already leaving me with like 3 days before i go back to work. company retreat wasnt anything exciting man.. the only interesting thing we did was the visit to old changi hospital. oh cmon it's just a deserted building without powersupply.
i think i know why people talk about them being touched mysteriously. it's because they go there with friends that likes to disturb (and never told them it was them!) lol.

i told my parents ill be away 3 days for chalet but i found myself out with cg throughout both nights (or rather mostly with my fellow lovebird by the name of dougyfoo). it was great fun out with these guys and i cant imagine me staying over at that mosquito infested chalet with nothing much to do.

so i went jogging ytd around punggol again but for the first time since NS. i enjoyed it. i personally think it was the best thing anyone can do in one of their evenings man you should come join me =)
gonna go down later again with my mp3.

Praise the Lord for this week erm.. hmm.. nvm.. =)

Lost & Found

Well title's 'lost and found'. i lost my HP in camp siol.. very careless of me to have brought it around without bringing a bag along (because my shorts got no pockets).
It happened on wed man.. that lost soul switched off my phone! So it's a gone case.
In conclusion, i called M1 to suspend my line and went down to retrive it back ytd. so my phone has neevr been found and im using a lousy one now with the talking device disabled, so only can sms. hmm..

So i lost my hp and never found it.. then why 'lost & found'?
hmm.. abit no link la but i found out that the Lord has been speaking to me in ordering my life. Getting my life back in order. 'Life' means in every area/aspect of life itself.

i started a journal a month back to so called "number my days"

Well i took it literally as to keeping track so keeping a journal could be a way to number my days ahah but anyway, it has been awhile since my last input to the journal.

i also started doing my own simple financial planning thingy to keep track of my cashflow and my spending pattern few months back but havent updated for the past 3 months. plus some commitments i made here and there.
all of a sudden these thigns just poped up and i felt burdened and compelled to set apart time to go and get them updated and in place. yep..

It's comforting to know that we can be responsible TO people but not FOR them. People are responsible for themselves.

It's comforting because i realised sometimes no matter how much you try making things happen things just won't.

i want to be patient, i pray to be more patient but still there's this limitation to how far/much more i'd be willing to go.

it's pleasant knowing that my genuiness gains trust, but it sucks to see how fragile trust can be. It takes just 1 X incident to destroy the whole lot of effort.

looking back:
what happen to the trust?
what happen to the friendship and good old times?
what happen to the once-opened heart?

i think it's a result of me going beyond what i am suppose to do.
i failed to understand that sometimes doing nothing could be doing a great deal of something. That i needa provide bigger space for people to change because transformation also means time.

It's just not time yet i guese

Hmm.. so it's not just a comforting fact that we're not responsible FOR people, but a revelation that sets me free from my disappointments over the situation.

dh, no matter what i wont give up on you and i hope you wont give up on us just like that.

I know i havent been blogging since i began serving the ARMY. well alot of things happened within this 7 months man(that's for sure), but for an up to date update, i'm feeling very blessed right now as i look back.

Starting this post right after the one i did 7 months ago brings me back to the old days man. Days when i have so much time to do whatever i wanted but didnt. National Service helped me realise what i call the power of deprivation. Time becomes so priceless now. Time on the internet, books and business.. friends, family and God becomes so valuable all of a sudden.

Deprivation helps me discover what i really need to focus on and gave me purpose.
The state of being deprived resulted in my fruitfullness and breakthroughs.

However negativity can make or break a person man. i've witness people growing colder as they walk the road of negativity aimlessly. i believe confusion is not a bad thing because it proves one desiring a breakthrough but dont know how. but growing colder means one has allowed negativity to take it's toll over him, he has so called given up and has succumbed to whatever life brings.

I met this really nice Chinese guy the other day who told me stories about he's origin. he came from a place with high level of immorality where people get killed almost every single day. That kinda background, culture & up-bringing not just make them stronger than Singaporeans in terms of willpower but also humble them too(Chinese). They have such great attitudes man and conversations with them just blew me away.
The Lord spoke to me again on our need for gratitude.

When we began to realise just how much we've already been blessed living in a better place(Singapore) than the Chinese. With access to unlimited information(through the internet) and many many more good stuff. All of a sudden our problems are not that big anymore compared to people who're less fortunate.
all of a sudden our faith capacity/capacity for problems becomes bigger.

For us to have an attitude of gratitude, we need to first expereince deprivation. if not there's nothing we can relate to to be grateful about.

Whatever situation you're in right now.. as painful as it may be, learn to embrace it man. Be grateful with the big & little things that you already have because they're gonna get you to where you wanna be, not those which are lost.

Wahaha yesterday's service with John Avanzini was great!

After that went to meet Jinyi, Silin, Weilong & Jason for dinner at Chomp Chomp, it's been years since i last been there. Then we went to 'Ice Cube' and had choco fondue. Played icebreaker games lol, great stuff man! Best part: Mr Wee had to face the wall for 10 sec(only)!!
I really wanted to see someone do that besides me ever since i did that same thing as forfeit when i was with cg at Mind Cafe heh heh!

i found out that stupid games are the most fun because they're stupid.

So that was yesterday.
i went for today's service again with John Avanzini preaching the same word (but my notes were somewhat different which is good =))
After service, i met up with David whom i got to know through Junyong.
I looked so forward to meeting him with such great expectations and anticipation. Today's meeting with him was our first and i've learnt alot from him it was very fruitful. I see passion in him man FIRE! i like that! lol

Looks like it's time to make things happen.
Enough of words, let's get down to do some work!

Pst Aries' sermon during the Breakaway Camp (a few weeks back) really impacted me man
would like to share abit here today

Success comes in divine opportunities.
But opportunities most of the time are inconvenient.

Revival comes in divine opportunities (this is the season of revival btw).
But opportunities most of the time are inconvenient.

Whatever you pray for will come to you in divine opportunities.
But opportunities most of hte time are inconvenient.

God reveals to us the things we've been praying for with opportunities
But opportunities most of the time are inconvenient
It's how we respond to these opportunities that determine whether our prayers have been answered
If we really want it, God is all the more willing to bless us but He wants to see faith
If we really really want it then what is inconvenience to us?
Let's go the extra mile to proof to God how much we believe what we ask, say revival
The person who will experience the breakthrough is the person who believes
The anointing comes when we take the very first step of faith

what you know you need to do but seems inconvenient is exavtly what you need to just go ahead and do.
This is what i felt the Lord speaking to me when i reviewed the notes again

Hope some of us are really blessed by the word as much as i do.

Let there be absolutely no guile
Let's believe! And just do it..
